Day 25: Love Languages

Day 25: What is your love Language?

Well, I kind of had a hunch what my love language was but wanted to take the quiz to find out. The first time I took the test LL I scored highest in was Words of Affirmation which is what I was expecting. Words mean a lot to me. I took it a 2nd time and scored highest in Quality Time so honestly I think they are both at the same level, maybe with WOA just slightly higher. The other 3 LL include acts of service, receiving gifts, and physical touch. Acts of Service was pretty high as well.  I scored lowest in receiving gifts and touch which doesn't surprise me seeing as how I don't always dwell in receiving materiel things but I love to receive and give hand made, meaningful gifts!

Perhaps being in VT has quite been the reason for such a low physical touch score although I tend to be more held back hugging or touching someone if do not know them well. Not having many people around to hug makes me appreciate kind words much more! I may not be the biggest fan of physical contact with strangers but I always appreciate a good solid handshake! One of my pet peeves is when I receive a "dead fish shake", blagh! That is usually one of the biggest first impression indicators for me for sure! Look below for basic info on my top 2 LL and click here to take the test yourself!

Words of Affirmation
Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important–hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.

Quality Time
In Quality Time, nothing says “I love you” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes you feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed activities, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.
